Crimestoppers:

BISD sponsors the Scholastic Campus Crimestoppers Program consisting of a tips hotline, (956) 982-3085, to assist in maintaining safe and secure schools. Monetary rewards are available to reporting individuals upon completion of a prosecution or arrest for reported crimes. The identities of reporting individulas are kept confidential and no court testimony id required.

Steps to Respect Anti-Bullying Pledge We will not accept bullying at our school. Our goal is to create a safe, caring, respectful school. We agree that it is everyone’s responsibility to stop bullying. It is up to each of us to make sure that bullying does not happen.

A Message to Parents

We ask for your assistance. Please be vigilant about what your children bring to school on their person, in backpacks, or in vehicles. Items such as toy guns, toy knives, lighters and other contraband are prohibited and will be taken seriously.

Acceptable Use:

Access to the District's electronic communications system is a privilege, not a right. Electronic communications also include the District's webserver. The District's webserver houses http://www.bisd.us which is the district's main page (homepage). It is the duty and responsibility of all departments and campuses to update and maintain their individual Web sites related to the homepage.

Request for Publication:

Requests for publication of information on the District website must be directed to the district's Public Information Administrator. It is also the duty of the office of Public Information to successfully maintain the portion of the main page that directly relates to the news, announcements, current events, and information and to change the pictures and captions. It is the duty and responsibility of all departments and campuses to update and maintain their individual websites. It is imperative that department or campus administration be responsible for the content provided to make sure that it meets the guidelines set forth in the Acceptable Use Policy and Improper Use of the Computer System. No commercial advertising will be permitted on a website controlled by the District.
